The much anticipated Allyson Whitney Foundation ‘Over the Rainbow’ Fundraising Gala is taking place, Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Villa Venezia in Middletown, New York. Attendance for their first ever Gala last year exceeded our expectations; with almost 300 guests and a live social media feed, raising $80,000!

 

And this year you are invited to dine & dance the evening away as we celebrate AWF accomplishments, cancer warriors, and supporters. We are confident this will again be a highly attended event reaching across the tri-state area and beyond.

 

AWF was created in loving memory of Allyson Whitney Strong, 25 years young, a Sullivan County, NY resident, who courageously fought a rare cancer, passing away in November 2011. She had a vision to help other young adults in her position, as resources are very limited. Financial toxicity is real and affects the whole family. The Allyson Whitney Foundation is 100% volunteer-based & all proceeds fund our initiatives. Our grant committee strictly verifies all applicants. Since inception in 2012, AWF has:

 

  • Awarded $ 539,434 directly to young adult patients via ‘Life Interrupted Grants’TM.
  • Donated $105,000 towards research at MD Anderson University of Texas Cancer Center.
  • Provided 500 ‘HOPE comfort bags’ to cancer patients receiving treatment in oncology

infusion suites.
